Family stroll at Devoran Boxing Day This the quay at Devoran, now small village; which was a large port where copper and tin were exported from our area at the turn of the last centuary, then a tramway ran from the north coast mines round St Agnes to Devoran on the Carrick Roads (the name of the great estuary that has Truro and Falmouth linked). There is a lovely family pub here that serves super homemade soup and well cooked meals.

Hi, we have had a good Christmas full of gentle happiness. No pictures to remark about, the weather was beautiful, the food was good and ample, presents were pleasant and fun, we had a very full church for the midnight service, the choir sang beautifully we greeted many friends and 3 young lads came back to enquire more deeply about the sermon and Jesus.

a bad photo of the fireworks at Eden. All the rest were video which I haven't worked out how you can blog yet.
These had candles inside.
The atmosphere at the Eden Project is great fun!! We skated, had a lovely hot picnic and then took part in a lantern winter-story parade which finished with very, unusual fireworks quite amazing, a fantasic place like nowhere else in the world. Rob, Josh & Owen the rabbit sometimes known as Bunzer wabbit. Rob & Hardy prepare for yet another day of mad dangerous surfing fun, ( I say dangerous because they deemed it necessary to climb down a cliff to find the ideal secluded cove!). Hardy is a friend of Rob's.

Spoke to Grandad tonight. He slept well last night and is still waiting to have the chest drain put in. He says when he wakes up it takes a while for him to realize he is still in hospital this morning he said " he was sure he was on a hospital train till he saw a familiar nurse!"

Les is looking much better, but he has still got some work to do before he gets home. Grandma may soon finish Esme's jumper as well; it's knitting up quicker than Grandad. He is finding it too hard without the oxygen at the moment.

Grandad is stable and the Op went very well. He went in for the op at 12.00 and was out by17.00. Grandma went to see him in ITU he was regaining temp well and looked very relaxed she was encouraged to talk to him as he could possibly hear even though he was being kept unconcious. The Drs are very pleased and said it was a successful op. The nurses were amazed he was 81 as they thought he was only 70!! Thanks for all your prayers but keep praying he's not out of the woods yet and Grandma is very lonely.
